The Commissioner's Operational Priorities for 2007 set out the key operational areas that Force members should address during the year ahead. The seven key areas identified in 2006 remain unchanged although there have been minor changes to individual sub-heads. A common theme in approaching these priorities is intelligence-led policing and for this reason officers are encouraged to support the Force Criminal Intelligence System by developing quality information. To further these priority areas it is also important that we continue to promote and garner public support, awareness and involvement to ensure that the Force and community effectively work together to ensure Hong Kong remains a safe and stable society.

2007 年警務處處長首要行動項目開列了警隊人員在來年的工作重點。在 2006 年落實
的七個工作重點維持不變，只有個別分類內容作出輕微修改。為實踐這些首要行動項目，警隊會沿用以情報為主導的警政方針，各人員應努力搜集有質素的情報，藉以強化警隊情報網絡。在進一步貫徹這些目標時，我們也須繼續向市民加強宣傳，並獲取他們的支持及提高他們的意識和參與程度，確保警隊與社會合作無間，使香港繼續成為一個安全及穩定的社會。
 
Violent Crime

Ensure a strong police presence to deter violent crime, particularly at high-risk premises.
維持前線強大警力以遏止暴力罪案，並對高風險地點倍加注意。

Professionally respond to and investigate all reports of violent crime, including domestic violence.
專業地處理及調查所有接報的暴力案件，包括家庭暴力案件。

Target criminals and their activities, particularly those resorting to firearms or explosive devices.
打擊目標罪犯及其犯罪活動，特別是涉及使用槍械或爆炸品的案件。

Strengthen intelligence-led operations, including the use of strategic undercover and covert operations.

Strengthen our capability to address triad-related criminal activity through the Force Criminal Intelligence System and the exchange of intelligence with Mainland, Macao and overseas law enforcement agencies.
