Lantau District (LTDIST) teamed up with Disneyland on May 5 to offer a bird watching tour at Inspiration Lake for 20 Senior Police Call (SPC) members.  Armed with binoculars borrowed from the Hong Kong Bird Watching Association, and led by six volunteers, the SPC members managed to identify 16 different species of birds and a lot of other natural wonders. The elders were grateful to the organisers for laying on the tour and for having an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lake.

 

LTDIST Police Community Relations Officer said the tour helped police cement ties with SPC members and encourage them to pitch in for crime prevention and road safety.

 

The event came to a successful conclusion with the Director of Government Relations of Hong Kong Disneyland, Ms Connie Hon, thanking the SPC members and volunteers, and undertaking to organise more events for SPC and JPC with LTDIST.
