"Generation 2+", the champion video of the Living-the-Values (LTV) Microfilm Production competition, has captured two international awards from the 2014 Questar Awards - Gold Award for Corporate Internal Communications and Grand Award for Best of Internal Communications.

Produced by "Chicken Wing Tip Production House", which comprises officers from Marine Region, the video beat over 100 entries from 12 countries and places, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Malta, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, the UK and the USA.

The international Questar Awards are presented to those professionals who have transformed their creativity, skills and craftsmanship into outstanding vehicles for corporate visual communications.

The Microfilm Production competition was held last year to support the theme of Wave VIII of the LTV Workshop - "Professional Responsibility and Accountability".  Apart from projecting the Force's positive image in the international arena, the awards underscore the Force's efforts and success in promoting internal communication through LTV Wave VIII with staff engagement and empowerment.

The video tells the story of a young Police Constable (PC) who accidentally disclosed details of her duties in a suicide case to the news media while sharing her working experience with friends.  The PC, however, lived up to the Force value of "Acceptance of Accountability" by admitting her fault and reporting the matter to her supervising officer.

The Wave VIII of the LTV Workshops commenced in March. The workshops for Inspectorate officers, starting from May, will conclude by the end of this month.  In conjunction with Police College, Service Quality Wing will run six Facilitator Training Workshops for Chief Inspectors next month, to be followed by Junior Police Officer Cadre Workshops between the fourth quarter of 2014 and the second quarter of 2015.
