Director of Personnel and Training Chau Kwok-leung led a five-member Force delegation to visit Hebei on a series of study and liaison programmes between August 3 and 9.  He also officiated at the graduation ceremony for Mobile Firearms and Tactics Training conducted at the Chengde Public Security Bureau Training Centre.
 
In the 23rd Mobile Firearms and Tactics Training jointly hosted by the Ministry of Public Security and the Force, an eight-member Mobile Firearms and Tactics Training Team headed by Superintendent (Weapons Training) Chan Wing-leung delivered a five-day practical training programme for 80 public security officers from various formations in Hebei Province.
 
At the graduation ceremony on August 8, Mr Chau presented certificates to the 80 graduates and encouraged them to apply the tactics they had learned in their daily law enforcement work, and to protect themselves and the public.
 
In closing, Mr Chau thanked the Hebei Provincial Public Security Department for supporting the Mobile Firearms and Tactics Training Team and bringing the training to a successful conclusion.  He also complimented the graduates for displaying dedication and perseverance throughout the intensive training programme.  The graduates also expressed gratitude to the Mobile Firearms and Tactics Training Team for designing the programme to meet their specific needs, and applauded the team members' dedicated coaching and professionalism.  
 
During the visit, the Force delegation attended forums with officers from the Chengde Public Security Bureau, Xinglong Public Security Bureau and Shuangqiao Public Security Sub-bureau, sharing experiences in personnel and resources management, traffic management, policing of public order events, as well as prevention and detection of crime. The delegation also visited a police station, a command and control centre and a local traffic formation, and discussed frontline policing issues.
