With sponsorship from Operation Breakthrough, the Police Community Relations Office of Shamshuipo District (SSPODIST), Hong Kong Police Judo Club and the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong organised a five-day Summer Judo Class for young people during the summer vacation.

 

Presenting certificates on July 25 to 31 students who had completed the training class, Acting SSPODIST Commander Ng Ho-chun encouraged them to make the most of their holidays to acquire knowledge outside classroom.

 

The coach of the training class, Mr Ho Man-fai, pointed out that judo, a sport requiring strenuous efforts was useful for enhancing teenagers' confidence and  discipline.

 

Besides students referred by the non-government organisations in Shamshuipo, the training class was also open to Non-ethnic Chinese youngsters for promoting social integration.
