Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) held a mid-year briefing on the crime situation in Tsuen Wan on August 19, using the meeting as a platform to consult community leaders on the fight crime initiatives for 2015.

During a discussion led by Deputy District Commander Ko Kim-fung, District Councillors, District Fight Crime Committee members and other community leaders were invited to play the role of TWDIST Commander in setting operational priorities, and to comment on how the police and the community should work on joint initiatives.

Commenting on the success of the session, District Commander Steve Wordsworth said, "The session gave us a good insight into the community's expectations. The ideas that had come up largely tallied with our views. We have attained a good consensus, which will allow us to fine-tune our District Action Plan."

A District Councillor, Miss Lam Lam, commented, "I'm sure we can further enhance co-operation and joint efforts. I'm delighted that Tsuen Wan Police District is engaging with us in such an open manner."

The session concluded with presentation of banners by Tsuen Wan District Councillors in recognition of officers' efforts to combat crimes, ensure public safety and engage the community.
