Traffic Kowloon West (T KW) presented the "Road Star" to 30 elders at a presentation ceremony on September 3. T KW rolled out a "Road Star" Scheme in 2010 for making the elderly more aware of their responsibilities to road safety and using road facilities more correctly.

Officiating at the ceremony were T KW Senior Superintendent Chan Kwok-kee, Chairlady of the Organising Committee of Yau Tsim Mong Road Safety Campaign, Ms Kwan Sau-ling, Chairman of Sham Shui Po Road Safety Campaign Committee, Mr Cheng Muk-lam, Chairman of Special Project Promotion Team/Kowloon City Road Safety Campaign Committee, Mr Wong Yu-leung, and Commander of Kowloon West Region of Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, Mr Chan Shu-lui.

At the invitation of T KW, about 900 elders turned out at the ceremony to get a better idea of traffic regulations and their roles as a responsible road user. They also got some ideas of their social responsibilities to road safety through an interesting Cantonese opera.
