The Police Athletic Championships was held at Wanchai Sport Ground on April 2, with two new records set.  Sergeant Li Chak-ming from Police Tactical Unit Headquarters, set a new record in 400m (senior) with 54"93'and 100m (senior) with a remarkable time of 11"10'.
 
In the hotly contested 4X100m Major Formation Promotion Relay, Hong Kong Island Region secured the title, with New Territories North and Police College trailing as 1st and 2nd runners-up.
 
In individual events, Police Constable (PC) Cheung Wing-fai from Tin Shui Wai Division captured the title of the Victor Ludorum, while PC Kwok Tsz-ching from Yuen Long District retained the title of the Victrix Ludorum for the second year.  Yuen Long District won the Other Formations Championship (Male & Female), whereas the Specialist/Training Units Championship went to Police College.
 
The winners received their prizes from Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung and other senior officers amid the loud applause of supporters. The Chairman of the Police Athletics Club, Mr Kwok Ho-fai, thanked all helpers from Police Football Referee Club, Physical Training Instructors from Police College and Police Tactical Unit for their support and assistance for the event.
