Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) Chief Superintendent Lawrence Wong Ying-wai led a delegation of seven CCB officers to attend the 11th knowledge-sharing seminar organised by the Economic Crime Investigation Department (ECID) of Shanghai between March 16 and 18.

During the visit, the CCB officers discussed with their Shanghai counterparts the ways to strengthen co-operation and shared the latest investigation skills and strategies for combating prevalent commercial crimes.

For the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, the delegation, with the arrangements made by the ECID, visited the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the China Securities Regulatory Commission Shanghai Enforcement Bureau and had discussions on regulatory practices and policies.

The delegation also toured the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone to observe the business operations of enterprises and the developments of the zone.  The delegation also called at the newly established Shanghai Public Security Bureau Pilot Free Trade Zone Branch to get an idea of how to police the unique environment.

Through the seminar, the delegation members not only got a better idea of the commercial crime related developments in Shanghai, but also strengthened the relationship and co-operation with the ECID.
