Accompanied by the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, and Commissioner Lo Wai-chung, Mr Leung visited Commercial Crime Bureau's Counterfeits Exhibition Room. Through the display of global counterfeit currency and production equipment, visitors from other law enforcement agencies would gain a better understanding of counterfeit banknotes. They can exchange experiences of investigation and thereby enhance their capability of detecting crime.

 

Mr Leung noted that while the situation of counterfeit banknotes in Hong Kong remains stable, the Force would continue to strengthen intelligence exchange and co-operation with various stakeholders.

 

Mr Leung's next stop was the HQCCC, where he was briefed on its operation to support major Police operations. The HQCCC has developed into a centre with advanced command and communications technologies and equipment that will facilitate its efficient and full functioning for Police operations.

 

Watching training in public events, Mr Leung said every police officer is well trained and fully prepared for different operational needs and will discharge their duties professionally and efficiently.

 

Mr Leung also met officers from crime and operation units and learned more about their work. He commended the officers for their perseverance and dedication to duties, and encouraged them to continue to remain impartial and professional in combating crime, safeguarding the rule of law and preserving public safety.
