The annual Display of the Mace Ceremony was held at Police College on June 1 in memory of the late Sir Shiu-kin Tang. 

 

Officiating at the ceremony, Commissioner Lo Wai-chung reminisced about the philanthropist's contributions to police staff welfare, and thanked his family for their continuous support for the Force. Sir Shiu-kin's son, Richard, and daughter, Yvonne, were present at the ceremony.

 

Donated by Sir Shiu-kin's family as a symbol of his close relationship with the Force, the silver mace is used by the Police Pipe Band at major official functions.
