New Territories South (NTS) Region kicked off with a bus parade a project designed to reduce youth crime on May 18. The project, known as "Operation STORMBREAKER", aims at helping young people steer clear of crime and avoid falling preys to crime through preventive education, law enforcement, and co-operation with the community.

Speaking at the kick-off ceremony before a large gathering of community leaders and Junior Police Call members, Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok hoped "Operation STORMBREAKER" would bring the police and other stakeholders together in building a safe and secure community for the residents and young people in NTS region.

A video on prevention of youth crime, prepared by the Regional Crime Prevention Office, was premiered at the kick-off ceremony.
