The Task Force Sub-unit of Chai Wan Division (TFSU CWDIV) has been praised for busting several theft cases and a criminal damage case.

On July 10, Mr Chung Shu-kun, a member of the Legislative Council, and Mr Law Kwong-hung, a committee member of the Hong Kong & Kowloon Gold Ornaments & Jewellery Trade Workers' Union, presented tapestry banners to Acting Eastern District Commander Ip Chi-keung, Divisional Commander CWDIV Fan Chor-fun and TFSU Commander Kung Yee-lam as a token of their appreciation.

Probing a number of theft cases and a case of criminal damage to promotional banners reported between March and June, TFSU officers arrested a woman and a man on March 9 and June 24 respectively. Mr Chung highly appreciated the officers' efforts.

Early in June, TFSU officers also arrested a man for allegedly stealing a piece of jade valued at $12,000 from a jewellery shop in Shau Kei Wan and recovered the property, earning the shop owner's compliments for providing a safe environment for the public.
