The Regional Missing Persons Unit Hong Kong Island (RMPU HKI) is running "Project SOLACE" to study the issues of missing elders and youngsters as well as elderly dementia. RMPU HKI, by forging a working partnership with stakeholders, is in a better position to meet the needs of the community.

Recently, RMPU HKI has established partnership with the Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing (JCCPA) in organising a series of workshops on dementia for frontline units so that they would be better equipped for handling persons with the disease.

Director of JCCPA, Dr Timothy Kwok, Prof of Faculty of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and his team have been delivering the workshop to Emergency Unit HKI since March. It will be extended to Police Tactical Unit HKI and frontline officers in police districts.
