Ma On Shan (MOSDIV) Divisional Commander, Superintendent (SP) Tong Chi-chung, accompanied by divisional personnel and officers from New Territories South Regional Crime Prevention Office, paid a goodwill visit to Tai Shui Hang Village in Ma On Shan recently to promote the extension of an anti-village house burglary project, Project CARE, to the newly elected village representatives and shared his experience of crime prevention. At the same time, officers distributed anti-telephone deception fliers and offered advice on burglary prevention.

In another effort, SP Tong has presented a letter of appreciation to a woman staff member of a local money exchange shop earlier for her alertness in a case of attempted telephone deception, in which she stopped the victim from remitting $100,000 to a conman who claimed to have detained her daughter. SP Tong has also presented a letter of appreciation to a Tseng Tau Village resident for assisting in a case of "suspicious person found".
