The final of "Don't Drop the Ball", a rugby training and crime prevention project organised by New Territories South Regional Crime Prevention Office and Hong Kong Rugby Football Union for young people, took place at King's Park Playground on July 18.

A total of 24 teams from primary and secondary schools competed in the final and later received prizes from Kowloon East Regional Commander Duncan McCosh, Superintendent (Operations) Hong Kong Island Peter Whitton, General Manager of Rugby Operations & Commercial, Mr Robbie McRobbie, Tsuen Wan District Councillor, Mr Lo Siu-kit, and Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Sports Association, Mr Wong Chi-kwan.

Running for the 7th consecutive year, the project aims at boosting the confidence of young people and impressing on them the importance of team spirit, disciplinary and obedience through rugby training and matches, so that they would adopt a healthy lifestyle and steer clear of drugs and crimes.
