In view of a rising trend of Internet deception cases, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) has collaborated with Hong Kong Island Regional Crime Prevention Office, Road Safety Team of Traffic Hong Kong Island, and public transport industry in organising a "Joint Cyber Security, Crime Prevention and Road Safety Publicity Campaign".

The campaign aims at raising public awareness of Naked Chat blackmail and social media deception. It also draws public attention to pickpocketing and the goal of "Zero Accident on Road".

The opening ceremony of the campaign was held at the Hong Kong Tramways Whitty Street Tram Depot on July 23, with Cyber Security Division Chief Inspector Sean Lin and Managing Director of Hong Kong Tramways, Mr Emmanuel Vivant, officiating.

Messages of the campaign are being driven home to the public through 235 posters put up on 190 trams. In addition, Kowloon Motor Bus Company is also assisting in displaying the posters at 224 bus terminals, starting from Aug 1.

With the support of the public transport industry, the campaign not only has enhanced the industry's corporate social responsibility, but also projected its image.
