Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) has run various projects to engage the community, such as Junior Police Call (JPC), Senior Police Call (SPC), and Project Gemstone. In a bid to spread love and care in the community, YTDIST is operating a new project - "We Love Yau Tsim".

The project was launched in Yau Ma Tei Police Station on July 29, where YTDIST Commander Kwok Pak-chung, volunteers from JPC, SPC and Project Gemstone, JPC Honorary Presidents and guests lined up to form a heart shape in a car park and chanted the slogan: "Offering is more a blessing than accepting. We Love Yau Tsim".

After the ceremony, the volunteers, led by Mr Kwok, visited solitary elders and warmed their hearts with greeting cards and gifts. They also reminded the elderly to beware of crimes.

Mr Kwok described "We Love Yau Tsim" as a very meaningful project because the volunteer team comprises members of different ages and diverse nationalities, who are devoted to serving the more vulnerable groups in the community.
