TMDIST


With the bathing season in full swing, the Police Community Relations Office of Tuen Mun District (TMDIST), the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North and Castle Peak Division (CPKDIV) joined hands with Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (TMDFCC), TMDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC) in mounting an Anti-beach-crime Publicity Campaign on Golden Beach and Butterfly Beach on August 1.


During the campaign, Divisional Commander of CPKDIV Tai Hung-kin, Chairman of TMDFCC, Mr Lee Hung-shum, TMDFCC members, JPC and SPC members and officers handed out fliers and souvenirs to bathers in a bid to remind them to keep a watchful eye on their personal belongings. They were also encouraged to alert the police of any suspicious activities on the beaches.

Chai Wan Divisional Commander Fan Chor-fan, Vice-chairman of Eastern District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Leung Chi-kong, Eastern District Councillor, Ms Lo Tip-chun, Southern District Councillor, Ms Chan Lee Pui-ying, Chairman of Shek O Residents Association, Mr Wong Man-kwong, Chairman of Shek O Women's Association, Ms Poon Woon-chun, Chairman of Big Wave Bay Residents Association, Mr Yuen Fu-poon, and SPC and JPC members jointly conducted an Anti-beach-theft Publicity Campaign on Shek O Beach on August 4, and handed out anti-crime leaflets and souvenirs to bathers.  Eastern District (EDIST) will continue to join hands with its community partners to make beaches safe for everyone.
