Regional Crime Prevention Office New Territories South (NTS), in co-operation with Hong Kong Federation of Youths Groups–Youth Crime Prevention Centre set up Project iSmart in a bid to alert youngsters to various technology crimes.

During a recruitment exercise for the project held earlier, a total of 100 students from nine schools in NTS joined the project as "iSmarters". They will assist in designing publicity items to disseminate crime prevention messages via the social media. So far, they have got across to the community messages on Naked Chat, e-auction deception and social media-related deception.

A number of functions were held during the summer vacation under Project iSmart, including a Dessert Competition participated by over 10 "iSmarters" on July 17. Juvenile Protection Section NTS also took this opportunity to provide information on technology crimes and other juvenile crimes for the "iSmarters".
