Members of the community have offered financial support for the daughter of the late Inspector Chan Sze-ki, Christy, to complete her final-year university education in the UK. With their great support and encouragement, Inspector Chan's family eventually managed to tide over a very difficult time.

On December 16, Christy, accompanied by her mother, called on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung in a tea gathering and thanked Mr Lo and the generous donors for their love and care. Christy also undertook to requite society for their kindness after her studies.
