Yuen Long District (YLDIST) hosted a gathering on December 23, to review the achievements of "Project HIMALAYA" in 2015, in which Acting YLDIST Commander Kerry Carew appreciated the efforts the Non-ethnic Chinese mentees had put in for realising their dreams, and encouraged them to seize every opportunity provided by "Project HIMALAYA" to get equipped for their personal developments.

At the gathering, some mentees shared their experiences of applying for joining the Force in a bid to inspire fellow mentees to get better equipped through the project.

In another efforts, the mentees of "Project HIMALAYA", accompanied by the YLDIST Police Volunteers Team, called at the Hong Chi Morningjoy School in Yuen Long on December 12 and assisted in preparation for the school's 10th Anniversary Ceremony cum Open Day. They also designed and manned game booths, bringing joy and blessings to the school's intellectually disabled students and visitors to the open day.
