The Chairman and members of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), accompanied by Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch Chief Superintendent Cheung Kin-kwong, met representatives of Junior Police Officers' Association, Hong Kong Police Inspectors' Association, Overseas Inspectors' Association and Superintendents' Association between last September and March this year, with a view to reinforcing communication and mutual understanding.

During four different meetings, the Chairman and members discussed with staff association representatives a wide range of policing issues, especially the difficulties and challenges facing frontline officers. The representatives recognised IPCC's roles in maintaining the two-tier police complaints system. They also exchanged views and ideas with their guests.
