With arrangement made by Police College, Police Driving and Traffic Training Centre (PD&TTC) sent Senior Inspector Leung Yat-tung, Officer in Charge of the Motorcar Driving Training Unit, and Sergeant (SGT) Chan Kin-kwok to attend a driving course in New South Wales (NSW) Police Academy, Australia, between February 14 and 17.

The officers went through a Highway Patrol Education Course organised by the Police Driving Training Center in NSW. The course enhanced their skills of driving on highway and gave them a training session in the highway patrol policy in NSW. The officers also met Assistant Commissioner of NSW Police (Commander of Education and Training Command), Mr Michael Corboy, to discuss various topics of driving and traffic training.

The overseas training was not only an eye-opener for the two officers, but also a valuable opportunity to identify the training that could be adopted for PD&TTC's training programmes.
