Members of the Yau Tsim Mong (YTM) West and North Area Committees called at Mong Kok Police Station on March 18 and presented tapestry banners and appreciation letters to Mong Kok District (MKDIST) officers for their efforts to fight and prevent crime. Among the 130 guests were the Chairman of the YTM District Council, Mr Ip Ngo-tung, Chairman of YTM District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Chan Siu-tong, President of YTM West Area Committee, Mr Leung Wah-sing, and Presidents of YTM North Area Committee, Mr Hau Wing-cheong and Mr Ting Siu-kwan.

Meeting the large party of guests were MKDIST Commander Mark Foster, Deputy Commander Yau Siu-kei and other officers.

In the presentation ceremony, the guests praised officers for safeguarding public safety and their professionalism. The guests also gave a big applause to, and praised and encouraged, two officers injured in the Mong Kok riot, Sergeant Yeung Chung-pang and Sergeant Wong Lok-on.
