The Wanchai Sport Ground was packed with athletes from different formations of the Force on April 8 for Police Athletic Championships 2016. Police Athletic Club (PAC) was delighted to have Commissioner Lo Wai-chung cheering on the contestants and presenting trophies to the winners.


In individual events, the winner of the Carpe Diem Bowl is Sergeant Li Chak-ming from Police Tactical Unit (PTU) Headquarters. Police Constable Li Tsz-kin from Emergency Unit Hong Kong Island secured the Victor Ludorum, while Sergeant Tsang Yiu-ying from North Point Division captured the Victrix Ludorum.


In the hotly contest 4X100M Major Formation Promotion Relay, Operations Wing secured the title, while New Territories North Region and Kowloon West Region took the second and third places respectively.


Regional Headquarters New Territories South won the title of the Other Formations Championship, with Police College won the Specialist / Training Units Championship.


The Police Athletics Championships 2016 went a long way towards the promotion of  healthy lifestyles within the Force, with the athletes displaying a lot of teamwork and sportsmanship. PAC Chairman, Mr Kwok Ho-fai, was grateful for the assistance and support for the event by helpers from the Police Football Referee Club, Police College, PTU and Auxiliary Medical Service as well as individual volunteers.
