The annual Wallis Trophy competition organised by the Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowls Club concluded successfully on March 30 following four weeks of intense round-robin competition among ten teams from Major Formations. Finally, Marine Region won the title, followed by Police Headquarters Team 1, School of Foundation Training and Police Headquarters Team 2 as 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively.


Presenting trophies to the winner and runners-up, Consultant in-charge, Forensic Pathology Service, Dr KL Hau, congratulated the teams and praised them for teamwork and sportsmanship.


The Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowls Club Chariperson, Superintendent Lo Fung-yee, pointed out that the competition attracted about 20 new players this year and their participation fully met the objective of the game - to encourage new players to take up and promote the game of Lawn Bowls within the Force.


The Police Lawn Bowls Club will continue to arrange training courses to encourage more Force members taking the sport.
