The President of the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), Mr Holger Münch, led a six-member delegation to visit the Force on June 7 in a bid to beef up police co-operation of the two places.

The delegation toured the Police Tactical Unit headquarters and received presentation by the Special Duties Unit on their role of counter-terrorism in Hong Kong. They then visited the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau, Commercial Crime Bureau and Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau to understand the Force's strategies in combating prevalent cross-boundary crime.

Mr Münch also paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung and exchanged views with him on how to foster and enhance co-operation to combat international crimes.

The visit had laid an important foundation for collaboration of the two police authorities.
