The 23rd Tripartite Technical Support Meeting was held in Hong Kong on June 13, during which officers from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao exchanged views on six crime issues, namely fingerprint examination, explosive ordnance disposal, firearms examination, police dog training, general forensic examination and forensic pathology.


Led by Chief Superintendent of Crime Support Group Choy Yuk-kwong, the Hong Kong team comprising Government Chemists and a Forensic Pathologist met with the delegations respectively headed by the Chief of Forensic Science Centre of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Mr Liu Weiguo, and the Assistant of the Commissioner General of Macao Unitary Police Service, Mr Mui San-meng.


This year, the Guangdong delegation shared their experience in applying an automatic shoeprint identification system. Mr Choy expressed gratitude to the Guangdong and Macao counterparts for their constructive and invaluable ideas in the field of inspection techniques, methodologies, procedures and standards of different forensic disciplines.
