Deputy Inspector-General of the Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Mr Sun Jingfeng, led a 24-member delegation to visit the Force between August 29 and September 2. The delegates comprised officers from the Criminal Investigation Department under MPS as well as investigation officers from different provinces and autonomous regions.


The delegation visited the Detective Training Centre, Hong Kong Island Crime Headquarters, Western District and Witness Protection Unit with an aim to enhancing their understanding of law enforcement by frontline officers as well as the Force's criminal investigation procedures. The delegates actively participated in experience sharing sessions with their Hong Kong counterparts.


Mr Sun also paid a courtesy call on Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Wong Chi-hung, and made a thorough discussion on ways to combat various crimes. Mr Wong welcomed the delegation to study the criminal investigation procedures in Hong Kong, and hoped that similar visits would be held in future. Mr Sun looked forward to having regular exchanges on criminal investigation with the Force.
