With a view to promoting safe cycling and strengthening relationship with the Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) community, Traffic New Territories South (T NTS) Region held a Racial Harmony Safe Cycling Promotion Day in partnership with Lantau District Junior Police Call (JPC), the Police Cycling Club, Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol NTS Region, Islands District Council Traffic and Transport Committee and volunteers from Team 21 near Tung Chung MTR Station on August 6.

The event featured a safe cycling mobile classroom conducted by the Vice-Chairman of the Police Cycling Club, Station Sergeant Lam Wai-keung, display boards about information on safe cycling, game booths and handing out of leaflets and souvenirs. Moreover, the Bicycle Patrol Team of the Road Safety Team of T NTS led the NEC JPC members to ride along the Tung Chung cycling track and disseminate safe cycling messages to the public on the way.
