To promote community inclusion and disseminate anti-drug messages, the Police Community Relations Office of Lantau District (LTDIST), Islands District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) and a power company jointly organised a parent-child cooking competition, "Cooking Ma Ma Anti-drugs Carnival 2016", as one of the activities of Project One World on September 24.


Twenty-one Chinese and Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) teams, each of the teams was formed by a parent and a child of the family, took part in the Green Gourmet or the Home Cuisine of the competition. Among the adjudicators of the event were Acting LTDIST Commander Chan Chi-ho, Chairman of the Islands DFCC Mr Yu Hon-kwan, Vice-Chairperson of the Working Group concerned Ms Keung Choi-yin, President of LTDIST Junior Police Call Honorary Presidents Council Mr Yik Wai-yung, Headmaster of Ching Chung Hau Po Woon Primary School Ms Chan Yee-wah, as well as the respective Chairperson and the Secretary of an NEC organisation Mr Mohammad Ilyas Alex and Mr J Singh Gill.


Meanwhile, a number of anti-drug game stalls and exhibition zones as well as an anti-drug truck of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Cross Centre had been set up at the venue with a view to raising public awareness of the harmful effects of drugs.
