Kowloon City District (KCDIST) co-organised the Kowloon City District Road Safety Talk cum Cantonese Opera with the Kowloon City District Road Safety Campaign Committee on November 13 to reinforce road safety message to over 700 participants.

After KCDIST Commander Cheung Ching spoke on the modus operandi of telephone deception and offered fight crime advice, officers of Traffic Kowloon West stressed the importance of the proper use of road crossing facilities to the participants, especially the elderly. Also officiating at the event were Kowloon City Assistant District Officer Ms Tanna Chong and Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council Traffic and Transport Committee Mr Luk King-kwong.

Meanwhile, Western District (WDIST), together with local stakeholders and Senior Police Call members, promoted road safety at various traffic black spots in Southern District from October 17 to 22. To boost the effectiveness of the publicity campaign, WDIST made use of online video footages to raise the safety awareness of road users. Officers also stepped up traffic enforcement actions to enhance road safety.
