The Education Bureau (EDB) and the Caritas Youth & Community Service (CYCS) presented the Outstanding Mentorship Alliance Award of the Multicultural Dream Pursuit Project (2015/16) to the Force in recognition of its commitment in providing recruitment information and workplace learning activities for Non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students. On behalf of the Force, Superintendent of the Human Resources Research Division Poon Shui-ping received the award on December 3, and shared the experience of running the activities with the students and teachers.

Since 2016, the EDB has commissioned CYCS to launch a three-year pilot programme to offer career counselling services for about 700 NCS students from over 30 secondary schools. To tie in with the Force's efforts to promote youth engagement, the Personnel Wing has been working in partnership with the Police Public Relations Branch in the past six months to provide career-related activities to over 170 students from seven schools. These activities covered visits to police formations and career talks by the Recruitment Division.
