Two soccer teams from Kwun Tong District and Marine East Division participated in the "Develop Potential Soccer Development Scheme for Youngsters in the Community", co-organised by Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee (SK DFCC) and Tseung Kwan O Youth Outreaching Social Work Team of Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association with the sponsorship of the Correctional Services Department on February 19.


More than 100 high-risk youngsters, including 20 rehabilitated youngsters, took part in competitive games to vie for the "Fight Crime Cup". They also joined a friendly match with the Force soccer players, who encouraged the youngsters to pursue a healthy lifestyle and reminded them to steer clear of undesirable habits.


One of the officiating guests, Chairman of SK DFCC Mr Chan Kuen-kwan, commended the police districts concerned for enhancing ties with the community through soccer activities. Another officiating guest, Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) of Tseung Kwan O Division Cheung Lap-ho, shared his words of encouragement with the teenagers and supported the re-integration of rehabilitated persons into the community.
