In a bid to boost ties with Filipino and Indonesian domestic helpers and to raise their awareness of sexual harassment and sexual offences in Hong Kong, Chief Inspector Lau Tak-yi and Inspectors Li Yik-lam and Poon Wai-ki of Eastern District (EDIST) delivered a sharing session with a non-governmental organisation, Rainlily, on March 19 at the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) Headquarters in Taikoo Shing.

The talk was one of the activities of EDIST's Diversity Programme that aims to engage Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC). The speakers gave tips to the attendees about the handling of sexual offences. In view of the enthusiastic response of the talk, the EOC has invited EDIST to host another round of sharing in April for Bangladeshi domestic helpers in regard to the prevention of thefts and other related offences.
