The Force procured 129 large vans to replace old patrol cars. These new patrol cars were delivered in batches to the Force from August. It is expected that the new patrol car will enhance the overall operational efficiency and comfort of Force members.

The new patrol car has a maximum output of 170 horsepower. With the maximum interior height of 1.78 metres, they would provide more spacious headroom for officers onboard. Other special features include tailor-made seat cushions, purpose-built compartment racks for Emergency Units and Police Tactical Units, as well as an electronic side paddle for easy boarding.

The vehicle dealer has arranged a familiarisation training to Transport Division (TPT) officers on July 27. Officers can visit TPT's website to view the related video.
