The Police Sports Council (PSC) hosted the Celebration Reception for World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) 2017 at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on September 19 in commendation of the Force delegation's achievements in clinching a total of 203 medals - 53 gold, 76 silver and 74 bronze - in the event this summer. Amongst those congratulating the Force delegates at the reception were Commissioner Lo Wai-chung, Senior Directorate Group members and sponsors of the event.


Speaking at the reception, the Head of the Force delegation, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chiu Wai-yin, praised the Force athletes for their outstanding performance and expressed sincere gratitude to all supervisory officers and sponsors for their support as well as the commitment by the Chairman of the PSC, Mr Lui Hon-kwok, and the Chairman of the Force WPFG Organising Committee, Mr Cheuk Hau-yip. Videos and photographs taken at the WPFG were shown at the reception, showing triumphant moments and recapturing pleasant memories.


Having a strong passion for sports, the Force athletes will prepare for yet another challenge of the WPFG 2019 to be held in Chengdu, China.
