The Force's 41-member swimming team pocketed 30 medals in the Short Course Masters Swimming Competition held by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association at Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool on September 17. A highlight of the day was the encouraging result by Police Constable (Auxiliary) Chan Ka-ka in breaking the masters swimming record for women's 50 metres backstroke.

The Force swimmers across generations strived for their best to compete with other local elite swimmers. With the support of veteran swimmers who acted as role models for their teammates, the Force team fetched eight gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals.

Chairman of the Police Swimming Club Mr Ho Ka-fei was pleased with the team's excellent performance. He encouraged the new generation of Force swimmers to treat swimming as a lifelong sport and promote the sport across the Force.
