Mrs Lam (sixth right, front row) and Mr Lo (fifth right, front row) congratulate the police awardeesChief Executive (CE) Mrs Carrie Lam presented honours and awards to 312 recipients at the 2017 Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony at Government House on October 21. Twenty-nine serving and retired members of the Force were commended in the 2017 Honours List, which was announced earlier on June 30.
Heading the list of the Force recipients was former Deputy Commissioner Wong Chi-hung, who was presented with the Silver Bauhinia Star.
Deputy Commissioner Chiu Wai-yin, former Senior Assistant Commissioner Au Chi-kwong, Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Yang Joe-tsi, former Assistant Commissioner Duncan McCosh and Assistant Commissioner Kwok Ho-fai were awarded Police Medals for Distinguished Service.
On the other hand, 22 officers received Police Medals for Meritorious Service, and another was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service.
