Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency Dr Askari Razak and Secretary General Dr Noor Sidharta visited the Witness Protection Unit (WPU) between September 19 and 21.

Dr Razak met with Chief Superintendent of Crime Wing Support Group Chan Wing-on during the visit. Apart from exchanging views on witness protection in their respective jurisdictions, they conducted in-depth discussions on enhancing co-operation of the two units. Both sides believed that strengthening communication and partnership could be mutually beneficial.

Dr Razak and Dr Sidharta were impressed with the professional and sophisticated training provided by the Hong Kong Police Force to WPU officers. The visit also enabled the WPU to gain valuable insights into the protection of witnesses and victims in terrorism and transnational crimes.
