Crime Kowloon West Headquarters (Crime KW) held a knowledge sharing session on handling of informers and taking of cautioned statements. More than 100 officers from Uniform Branch and crime units of KW Regional Headquarters and Districts, including mentors and mentees of the Crime Officer Mentorship Programme, attended the session at Mong Kok Police Station on October 19.

Assistant Commander (Crime) of Mong Kok District (MKDIST) Chung Chi-ming presided over the session. The sharing covered the relevant orders and practical guides about handling of informers and taking of cautioned statements. Chief Inspectors Chow Chun-choi and Chan Yuk-man of MKDIST shared the lessons they learnt from acquittal cases as well as good practices.

Crime KW will continue to identify officers' training needs and organise related workshops to enhance frontline officers' self-confidence, professionalism and work effectiveness.
