A group of community leaders presented pennants to officers of various units in Tai Po District (TPDIST) on October 23 in appreciation of their professionalism and efficiency in detecting four cases.


Among the community leaders attending the presentation ceremony were Vice-chairman of Tai Po District Council Ms Wong Pik-kiu, First Vice-chairman of Tai Po Rural Committee Mr Chan Siu-kuen, and Tai Po District Councillors Dr Lau Chee-sing, Mr Tang Ming-tai, Mr Lo Hiu-fung and Mr Tam Wing-fun. TPDIST Commander Lee Kwok-chung led the officers to receive the pennants.


The four cases were a burglary, a case about handling dangerous trees, a wounding case and an arson. The community leaders and the victims concerned praised the officers for their devotion, perseverance and professionalism in investigating the cases, arresting the culprits and safeguarding the life and property of citizens. The officers shared their difficulties of investigation to increase the attendees' understanding of policing challenges.
