Kowloon City District (KCDIST) launched the third stage of the "Road Safety Protocol on Receiving Tourists" in January. A trial run of traffic measures would be implemented in two pilot sites in the district for three months with a view to easing traffic problems caused by the flourishing tourism trade.


The Road Safety Protocol Outstanding Partnership Commendation Ceremony cum the Third Stage Launching Ceremony was held at Hung Hom Police Station on December 13, 2018. Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Dr Bernard Chan, Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council Mr Pun Kwok-wah and Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Association Mr Timothy Chui attended the ceremony with over 30 stakeholders of the tourism industry.


A total of 25 Outstanding Partnership Awards were presented to the stakeholders for their contribution to improving the community's environment. Certificates were presented to 19 stakeholders who joined the Road Safety Protocol in the third stage.


The Road Safety Protocol was launched by KCDIST in 2017 in conjunction with the Kowloon City District Council and the Hong Kong Tourism Association.
