The Police Licensing Office and the Liquor Licensing Board (LLB) co-organised the first night visit to liquor-licensed premises after the pandemic. Permanent Secretary for Environment and Ecology (Food) Miss Lau Lee-kwan, Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene Ms Young Bick-kwan and the Chairman of LLB Dr Wong Kong-tin, together with over 50 representatives of LLB, Environment and Ecology Bureau, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, Fire Services Department, Buildings Department and Environmental Protection Department joined the visit to a number of liquor-licensed premises in Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui.

The night visit facilitated attendees to observe operation of the trade, to gain better understanding of the challenges faced by law enforcement officers, to learn about the latest social situation upon resumption of normality from the pandemic, and to understand problems faced by the premises. The participants all agreed that the visit helped them process liquor licence applications and formulate policies more effectively. They also praised the Police for the professionalism it displayed in handling liquor-licensed premises.
