New Territories South Region (NTS) collaborated with the Hong Kong Hotels Association (HKHA) to arrange its member hotels in the Region to join Project e-SecuNet, through which the latest trends and modus operandi of crimes are shared to raise the hotel industry’s awareness of crime prevention so that they would help the Force fight crime.

The Regional Crime Prevention Office (RCPO) of NTS held the NTS Project e-SecuNet - Hotel Partnership Kick-off Ceremony on February 28. Regional Commander of NTS Mak Chin-ho and Chairman of HKHA Mr Wong Chak-fung were invited to officiate at the ceremony. Certificates jointly signed by NTS and HKHA were presented to 23 member hotels in the Region for establishing close working partnership to create a secure living environment jointly. Moreover, the officers encouraged frontline staff of the hotel industry to provide information about crime for the Force’s analysis and consolidation to prevent and fight crime, with a view to creating a safe community. The officers also briefed the industry on the trend of scams and anti-scam information to enhance the latter’s awareness of anti-deception.
