Kowloon East Region (KE) held the KE STEM FUN DAY under Project VALUE in collaboration with a number of technology and educational companies at the Hong Kong Science Park on March 4 to inspire young people’s creative mindset and instill positive values and attitudes in them through innovative and interesting STEM technology education.


Awards were also presented to the winners of ROBOMASTER Competition, Project VALUE NFT Mascot Design Competition, Technology & Innovation Design Awards on VR/AR: Anti-Deception for ALL on that day. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee attended the award presentation ceremony and thanked the stakeholders for their full support to youth development in line with the national development. He also encouraged the youth to have more contact with new technologies and learn positive values for ploughing themselves back into society.


Moreover, the Police Community Relations Officers of the four KE districts held crime prevention seminars via Metaverse for the first time to allow teenagers to enter the internet as Metaverse characters to absorb anti-crime information. The Metaverse Gallery exhibited the works of the Project VALUE NFT Mascot Design Competition. The STEM works by the students from primary and secondary schools were also shown at the event to showcase the creativity of youngsters. The event attracted about 3 500 participants.
