Chief Inspector Kong Wai-ming and Senior Inspector Lam Hong-hang of Key Points and Search Division went to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to attend the inaugural INTERPOL Law Enforcement Forum on Unmanned Systems between May 10 and 11. The forum drew the participation of more than 60 delegates from 36 member countries and regions, including officers from law enforcement agencies in various places, industry experts and members of academic institutions.


The forum provided an effective platform for participants to communicate and share the experience, difficulties and challenges faced when applying unmanned systems for policing use, and examples in which unmanned systems were misused by criminals. The participants also explored new breakthroughs in unmanned system technologies, ways to strengthen international cooperation and intelligence exchanges so as to facilitate the application of unmanned systems in policing.
