Assistant Commissioner (Information Systems) Kwan Chui-ching led a 12-member delegation comprising officers of the Information Systems Wing (ISW) and Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for exchange between June 4 and 10. The visit aimed to strengthen the Force’s overall e-policing capabilities and lead the Force to use technology for meeting the policing needs in the digital age.


The delegation visited UAE’s Ministry of Interior, Civil Defense Academy, Innovation Lab, General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, as well as the police headquarters of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The UAE representatives showcased various aspects of their policing efforts, including the unmanned report room of smart police station in Dubai and the design and implementation of public e-platform for reducing manpower and streamlining processes.


The exchange allowed officers to enhance the application of digital technology, foster innovative culture and ensure the sustainability of digital policing implementation.
