With Crime Wing’s arrangement, frontline crime officers from various Districts visited Shenyang Public Security Bureau (SYPSB) between June 7 and 10 for enhancing their professional knowledge on criminal investigation and forging closer partnership with their Mainland counterparts.


Chief Inspector of Marine Au Yeung Ki led a 15-member delegation to visit Shenyang’s crime investigation department and command and control centre, as well as Taochang Police Station of Dadong District to understand the policing of Shenyang. The delegation also visited the forensic section of SYPSB, whose officers demonstrated using portable electronic devices to collect fingerprint and shoeprint at crime scene and conducting immediate identification of suspects with mobile app of the police. The delegation was received by Vice Mayor of Shenyang cum Director of SYPSB Mr Wang Huiqi. The delegation also visited the Martyr Cemetery in memory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and September 18 Incident Memorial Museum in Shenyang. The delegates participated in the wreath laying ceremony with SYPSB officers to pay tribute to the late heroes of the country. The delegates found the visit fruitful, as it not only enabled the exchange of experience and insights on criminal investigation, but also promoted the solid friendship between Hong Kong and the Mainland counterparts.
